Ann Marie Kovaleski, President

Ann Marie Kovaleski has been with the Brewster Education Foundation for 3 years and is currently serving as the foundations President. Ann Marie currently works in the Brewster Central School District in our district office in the accounting department after working for more than 25 years in both auditing and financial accounting for private corporations. Ann Marie is a very active community member, participating in various committees and organizations throughout Brewster, and has served in many officer roles in JFK Elementary, CV Starr and Middle School PTA’s. Ann Marie and her husband Stephen have lived in Brewster for 27 years and are currently raising 3 children in our school district- 2 seniors in the high school and an 8th grader at H.H. Wells.

Judy Cleary, Vice President

Judy Cleary is a life-long resident of Brewster. She, as well as her parents, husband, Mike, and their two sons are all Brewster graduates. Currently, two grandchildren are continuing the tradition, attending CV Starr and Wells Middle School. Judy started her career in education in the Brewster Schools at the elementary level, teaching kindergarten and fourth grade before heading to the high school as a guidance counselor. After retiring from the BCSD in 2012, she continued her love of teaching becoming a certified yoga instructor and now enjoys sharing her passion for yoga with family and friends.

Jennifer Galluzzo, Vice President

Jennifer Galluzzo joined the BEF in 2018. She currently serves as a Vice President. Outside of the BEF, she heads the Digital Marketing & Business Intelligence practice for Harrison Edwards PR & Marketing. Previously, she taught elementary school in New York City, and saw the budgetary struggles teachers were facing first hand. She is also an active multi-troop leader in the Girl Scouts of America, a travel coach for Brewster soccer, and is on the executive leadership team of the American Heart Association Go Red for Women. Jen resides in Brewster with her husband and three children, who attend C.V. Starr Intermediary School and H.H. Wells Middle School.

Monica Larca, Corresponding Secretary

Monica Larca joined the BEF in 2014. She just completed a term as vice president and is currently the corresponding secretary for the Foundation. Monica is a retired teacher who taught first grade for 14 years at St. Lawrence O’Toole School and then 24 years at Garden Street School and JFK Elementary where she taught pre-first (UPS), first and second grades. Monica and her family reside in Brewster and her granddaughter attends JFK Elementary School.

Melissa Stahl-Downey, Recording Secretary

Melissa Stahl-Downey has been a trustee on the BEF since 2013. She is the Secretary for the Board and has been the Co-Chair for the Fall Fling/Gala for seven years and she also works with the Grant Committee. Melissa’s son graduated from Brewster in 2020 and her daughter is a current senior. Outside of the BEF she is the World Language and ENL Chairperson at the Byram Hills School District. She is a trustee on the Putnam County 4H Board and organizes Midnight Runs with Christ Church in Pawling.

Donna Schneider, Treasurer

Larry Baglio

Larry Baglio is a new trustee with the BEF. He is the owner of Pixel Forge Media; a photo and video production company with published works in national magazines, commercials on TV and billboards in NYCs Times Square. When he’s not behind the camera, Larry has been putting his time towards helping children in various Brewster sports leagues including T-Ball, Soccer, and lacrosse, where he is the head coach for the Brewster Lacrosse 1st and 2nd grade teams. Originally from Long Island and raised by career teachers, the importance of an education has always been present in his life. He hopes that joining the board of the BEF that he will have the opportunity to not only help his two children in the district, but also the rest of the students, teachers and faculty in Brewster. He is a strong believer that providing help and support to our educational system is crucial to ensuring future generations have the tools they need to succeed and make this world a better place.

Eric Buzzetto

Eric Buzzetto has been a Physical Education teacher in Brewster since 2003. He has coached girls basketball and girls soccer for Brewster, and currently is a PE teacher at JFK Elementary School. He lives in North Salem with his wife Tina, who teaches in Irvington, daughter Jaime, and sons Cameron and Jesse.

Alberta Kozma is a seventeen year BEF member, just having completed a four year term as president. Berti is a retired educator, having taught in Hawthorne, NY and Brewster at Garden Street School, and served on the Board of Education for twelve years. As a forty year resident of Brewster, volunteering for activities her three children were involved with in the Brewster community has been an important way of life, Berti was involved in Girl Scouts and Little League. Additionally, she was a CCD teacher, served as both Elementary and Middle School PTA presidents, and is the elementary and middle school Ski Club facilitator

Vikki Rogers

Vikki joined the BEF in 2021, and is an experienced Chief Learning Officer with a demonstrated history of innovative work in the commercial, academic, and legal space. She brings with her vast experience in learning & development, instructional design, online learning (asynchronous and virtual), classroom teaching, system design, as well as legal experience. Vikki is currently pursuing her masters of education. She lives in Brewster with her daughter, who attends C.V. Starr.

Robert Stanhope

Robert is a retired teacher who taught for 31 years (21 in public schools and 10 in private institutions.) He has worked in broadcasting for 14 years, Putnam County Government for 8 years, and has been a musician for over half a century. His family has lived in Putnam Lake for 42 years. Robert’s daughter, her husband, and their two children live nearby in Brewster as well. His great satisfaction with the Brewster Schools over two generations was the impetus his joining the BEF.
